Butch Berry is a cartoonist-writer who is currently illustrating a book entitled “Dangerman: The Urban Superhero” written by Roger Tinsley. Previously he was editorial cartoonist for the Daily Voice.com.
Butch is a member of the audio comedy troupe “Dead Horse Comedy Hour” which performs regularly on Blogtalk Radio and has produced a comedy CD entitled “The Dead Horse Comedy Hour.” He’s produced animation for the Emmy award-winning children’s TV series “The Kinderman Show,” on WMAR-TV2 Baltimore. And his blog, “Butch Berry Stuff” (http://www.butchberry.blogspot.com) has received a “Best Art” award from the Black Web Awards.
Featured as one of the top ten online cartoonists by “Animation World” Magazine in July 2000, Butch Berry’s comic strip “The Raunchy Roach Show” was distributed on the Internet via Art Comics Syndicate from 1996 thru 2001. The strip was mentioned in the book “Designing Interactive Digital Media” by Nicholas V. Iuppa (publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann) for early use of Internet animation.
